Lame Deer Collaboration

Silkroad

Since 2012, Silkroad artists from Spain, Japan, the U.S., and India have exchanged music, stories, and traditions with students and teachers at Lame Deer Junior High on the Northern Cheyenne Indian Reservation in Montana. What began as a two-year partnership through the President’s Committee on the Arts and Humanities Turnaround Arts Program, has grown into a wonderful, multi-year relationship, supported by Silkroad donors. This is a video that helps show the impact the program has on both the Silkroad artists and the students.
